Inspired by San José environmental pioneer Frank Schiavo, this event series engages San José neighborhoods on environmental issues through informative talks and hands-on action. Frank Talks are designed to inform and inspire; they feature dynamic presentations or discussions and provide an opportunity for participants to take action. Frank talks are aimed at improving knowledge and changing behavior and focus on real solutions. Frank Talks are held at the Coyote Creek Outdoor Classroom in San José about once every two months.
Past FRANK Talk topics related to our mission have included: California’s Drought, with demos of a laundry to landscape gray water system; Coyote Creek Health: discussion of homeless population’s effect on creek health and creek clean up; Creek Talk and Walk: Discussion of creek ecosystem and tour of native plants.
